You, Me, and the Scoo - T.Giving Style

You, Me, and the Scoo

Almost another year has come and gone and I couldn't even begin to describe what an intense and crazy year it has been. My job has been getting busier and busier, my mom was diagnosed and announced to be in remission from breast cancer, my grandpa's passing in September... it's just been a lot. The last horrible year I had like this was back in 2007, so I suppose my bad years come like bad luck - every seven years.

While I sit here and listen to the rain outside of my window, watch Friday Night Lights, and reflect on the Thanksgiving that has just passed, I am thinking about all of the things in my life that I am thankful for. First of all, I am thankful for family. I am so so so very thankful for Riley. I am thankful for Alicia. I am thankful for my college ladies. I am thankful for my sister, and our generation, and the future unborn children of our generation. I am happy for my health. And I am thankful for my passion for cooking.

All my life, I've always said, "I wish I was just good at something." One of my best friends, Stacey, has a fantastic voice. Katie Schloss has the most wicked and fast wit out of anyone I've ever met. Alicia is bad ass at horseback riding. Many of my guy friends are sick skateboarders. Riley is a wiz at design. What was I left with? Spanish? I wasn't even the best in my class in college.

When I found cooking, I never really thought of it as a talent, but more of a hobby. But sitting here, thinking of all the things I am thankful for... I am thankful for my talent in the kitchen. And that talent recently caught the eye of an old classmate of mine, Will DaRosa! He is a part of a fantastic blog called You, Me, and the Scoo, created by two other old classmates of mine, Scott Sanborn, and Taylor Mahoney, and a friend of theirs from film school, Addison Goss. The blog is four dudes, talking about their lives in LA, and shootin the shit. And it's awesome. Each week they feature a guest for a small interview. These guests range from friends, to fashion bloggers, to yours truly - a food blogger!

The show is witty, unique, and has some quite interesting topics. They even have an episode on Vegas... lordy! I highly suggest you check out the podcast as a whole, and make sure to check out my interview on the show, aired on October 27th. You can find the interview here.

Tell me what you think. Criticisms? Hit me. Thoughts on what you're thankful for? I would love to hear it!
